I guess my time in Sing to the Pore is up. I'll miss:

- chilling at Starbucks/Coffee Bean/Coffee club with my friends, laughing and talking, laughing and talking
- being a noise pollutant at Keppel gym
- eating all my sinful yet heavenly foods
- Joshie's incessant promises to make a day free for me
- being an absolute tai tai at sentosa
- talking about everything under the sun with G
- my mum's nagging [how ironic!]
- catching the bus at 11 plus from orchard
- having air conditioning in my whole house
- shopping at Mango, Zara, m)phosis and all other girlie shops
- my dad calling me "boss"
- the fact that G, wJ, Mark, pJ, Xing and Chun is not a mere phone call away
- not having parents around
- having ironed pJs, jeans and towels
- home.

Met wG for brekkie today. Initially, we were suppose to meet at 10.30 but due to some hold-up on his part, we finally met at 11ish. Found out he was looking after his little sis. Major AW. He instaneously scored brownie points with me. Had maccas and then went on to shoot some pool. Someone is a pro huh. Say what say, haven't played for so long. Tsk wG. However, thanks for the pool treat and making the effort to meet up before I leave. So sweet. Major AW again.

After that, I went on to meet my Godmum. My Godmum has been whinging that I have neglected her this hols. But truth is, I have been busy working so I didn't have time for almost everything, which sadly included her. We had my favourite STEAMBOAT and proceeded to go shopping. My old pair of Nikes caused massive blisters and even bleeding so I was in search of a new pair of Nikes. Found it! And it was on discount. *looks pleased* We then headed for dessert. Man! Someone please remind me all my hard work at the gym yesterday is completely blown by last night's coffee session with Chun and today's feast with my Mum and Godmum. ::SOB::

Anyway. Enjoy the photographs! Been taking heaps. *beams*

Yesterday [17 02 05]
Overslept for the 1st time in ages. Made a frantic rush to meet Amy at Harbourfront. She had good news for me. I started jumping up and down like a crazy gorilla. AMY HAS A CONFIRMATION FROM UWA. SHE IS COMING TO UWA! Congrats girl. I'm hysterically overjoyed.

Went to Sentosa, beached alittle, did some cycling. Wanted to do the trapeze thingy but chickened out last min. However, we are SO gonna do it on Monday! It looks awesome man!

Today [18 02 05]
Initially, I meant to run my errands alone. However, I caught Caro online so I decided to ask her if she was working today so I cld pop over and say a hi. I had resigned to fate that I wldn't be seeing pJ, Xing or her for the last time before I left. Caro asked me to jio Xing out since she might be free. Thank GOD she was. So we went out, did my stuff and hung at Caro's workplace, BAKERZIN. Had an awesome time with my girls, chatting. Thanks for such a great time today, Xing and Caro. I'm gonna miss ya girls heaps.

At 6.30, went off to meet Gerald. G got us tickets for Seoul Raiders. Yay! I enjoyed the movie. It was dramatic yet witty. G had babes to oogle at. ::grins:: We then went for dinner at 8plus at Taka food court. Went to Far East, parked ourselves in Burger King and started watching stuff on my laptop. We got tired and spilt arnd 11pm. Just wanna say G, I'm soooooooooooo gonna pray that one day, you can join me in Perth. My life will be much brighter with you in it. *hugs* Take care of yourself here. I know you will.

That Lin Jun Jie's DOU JIANG YOU TIAO reminds me of those mornings in Shenzhen where my Mum and I will go to the 24hr fast food joint to have our pai gu fan and my Dad have his you tiao with steaming hot dou jiang.

Pretty soon, I will be parentless again.

Ok, so I have grown really lazy about filling you guys in abt Day 3-6 of Shenzhen. We just ate and ate (or rather, I did, not the rest of my family), shopped for winter clothes and get more massages.

So I'm backk in Singapore and it's Valentine's Day. Jaks is back in Aust, so it's kinda lonely. However, thank GOD for Amy. I kinda arranged a meet up with her so as to celebrate her "tentative" acceptance in UWA [YAY!]. We did all the gal things. So fun! But everywhere we went, we saw couples, holding hands, nuzzling each other. Made me overwhelmed with jealousy, but it's cool. Amy's good company. We went to KBox, watched the very french A VERY LONG ENGAGEMENT, shopped, shot pool and drunk coffee at Starbucks. The movie is entirely in french, but since I took french as s 2nd language, I had no problem with it. HAHAHA, yah right, who am I trying to kid? There was english transalation. I ain't that smart. A very passionate movie. I gave to give it to the French producers. They create tasteful and artful sex scenes [the show is M18]. Amy and I reckoned the only fault with the movie was the ending was too abrupt, no proper closure.

So shagged hey. I'm got heaps stuff to do, like visit the dentist to check if I have any problems with wisdom teeth popping out anytime soon and I have 2 skirts and a pair of pants to alter. Oh yeah, oh yeah, Rach has a pair of PINKK pants from MANGO. Oh yeah! Rach's fashion advice: Every gal MUST have a pair of pinkk pants in their wardrobe. An essential MUST-HAVE!!

GRAMMY's on. I ADOREEEEEEEEEEEEEE USHER! Go Usher, go Usher, go go go Usher! Woot!

Day 1 Shenzhen

We touched down at around 2plus in the afternoon after a minor delay at the Singapore airport side. Raring to go but alittle tired. Spent the remaining day settling in our hotel rooms and walking around the district. My dad blew on an extremely expensive seafood restaurant. I LOVE the soup there! We passed buy the local supermarket, Jia Le Le Gou Wu Guang Chang. My bro bought coke, which was 0.40S$! We bought 2 bottles. My favourite Wang Wang biscuit was 0.55S$. How awesome was that?

Story of the day: Shenzhen pple do not know what is cut chilli. We requested for "cut chilli" during our dinner and they didn't seem to understand it. In the end, in an effort to comply with my mother's persistent request, they gave our strips of finely sliced chilli, soaked in light sauce!

Day 2 Shenzhen

Got up around 9plus in the morning, after an extremely long slumber. My dad decided that we should head to this tourist attraction called "Window of the World", in chinese better known as shi jie zhi chuang. We cabbed there, but it was flooded with people that really put us off, so we headed to the shopping district, Luo Hu to attempt some retail therapy. Disappointing, I must say. Majority of the shops were not open on this Chinese New Year day. Those that were were the ones selling the REAL stuff, like Hugo Boss boutique, Morgan, CK.... however, my bro made a pretty good bargain at the imitation alley and bought 2 LV wallets for 400RMB, which equates to around 80S$.

Boredom flooding us, we decided to look for a health centre. And bingo! We found out. The manja princess here got treated to an invigorating foot massage, a manicure and pedicure (which were all an hr each) for just a mere 24S$! I can hear everyone going "OoOoOoOOooo" at the same time. That's right! My parents each had a longer foot massage and my bro had a full body one. Now, I've pretty blaque fingernails, with toenails to match. I loike!

We left the centre, pampered and thoroughly satisfied. However, I saw 2 really disturbing sights that I cannot shake of, even till now. On 2 separate occasions, I saw this shabby mother with a little kid in her arms rummaging the dustbin, picking whatever leftovers and stuffing it into her mouth. And there my prissy mum refusing to eat all sorts of food coz "she hates it". I felt overwhelming pity I could have burst into tears. I scolded my mother for being so fussy. She tried to justify herself all ways, but seriously, with such a blatant fact facing her, her reasons seemed so crass. I cannot shake off the image in my head.

Story of the day: Conetto in Shenzhen is 0.50S$. When I was happily walking towards my dad when he came out of 7-11, I didn't see the flight of stairs ahead of me as I was in oblivion while eating. I missed the step and the 1st 3 thoughts that ran through my head 1. My pedicure is ruined 2. I'm gonna lose my ice cream and 3. OH-O, Rach is going DOWN. Anyway. With skilful manuvoering, I manage to save my ice cream and landed on the very stair I missed on my BUM with a loud thud. Thank GOD it wasn't anything severe like Rachie rolling down the stairs like sushi. Rach is still in ONE PIECE with her ice cream! ::beams::

Rach is going to Shenzhen [SZ]!

Stay tune for more updates.
Coming soon to a screen near you!

This is a very costly blog entry. Sitting at Keppel surfing wireless. 30 cents per min. What a rip off. But boredom compelled me to resort to such desperate measures such as spending ridiculous amounts to pass time.

Work is finally over and boy, am I glad. However, I spent a MAJOR bomb buying them farewell presents and lunch. How crass of me. I can't wait to walk out of tht office for the rest of my life and yet I bust close to a couple hundred on them, which is almost 40% of whatever that's left of my meague pay? Wow Rach, you are so charitable. *groans* Anyway. Thank GOD the week is over so I can continue on with my life, though the emotional scars are left to be healed. Had a great dinner with Mark and gang. Did some impromptu skit for the video cam, and I must say, I never knew I had such gregarious drama talent that has slipped away hidden for 18years plus? Such fun!! And finally after 3yrs, I finally return to the cafe that G's sister, Suzanne 1st took me to. I love the ambience there. Very old-school, laid back, arty cafe. Great stuff. Only that the drinks that are absurdly marked-up. Overall, awesome place!

Withdrew my pay for the mth of January. Decided that whtever I get for the miserable 1 wk of Feb, I shall save in my bank account, some $100 perhaps? Pathetic. But as what Chief Justice Pao Ni Ni [that's me in the skit] most famously says "Time is money, money is time." Indeed, I am burning my pay just blogging!! I went shopping yesterday, bought my current addiction, the baby purple Nike gym duffel for $80, after a 10% off. Very expensive, but sadly, that's my exquisite love affair. pJ reckons I so fit the bill of a tai tai. Thank you pJ, I take it as a compliment. Back on my favourite topic of retail therapy which is much needed due to me 2mth long dreadful nightmare, I bought a white knee length skirt with dark pink arty farty swirls and another Giodano dark pink lycra tee. Gosh! At least, I'm doing it with my own pay, so I don't need to be a slug and live off my parents for such whimsical fancies. In this manner, I feel the "heartpain" for parting with hard earn money (very hard earned indeed!)

Ohhh, did I mention I have new specs?? OoOoOo... pictures are up! Haha, dodgy?? I hope not! I better chop the long story short guys... missing everyone! *hugs*

And my black framed specs, which I like better.. Sadly, everyone reckons the green suits me better... Posted by Hello

Rach is in depression.

Thank you to the well-wishes who care. I am truly honoured. Be well assured that I will indulge you on the miseries of my pathetic life in due course. In the meantime, I'll steer clear frm the details so as to prevent tears frm welling up, flowing and spoiling my laptop.

Rach will recover and rise to the occasion. Eventually. Right now, she would like some company so please don't hesitate to ring/sms/email her, bearing in mind her forthcoming trip to Shenzhen, China on the 8th of February till the 13th.

May the LORD bless you and keep you.
